Former India fast bowler Dodda Ganesh has publicly disagreed with South African cricketer AB de Villiers after the latter rated Virat Kohli ahead of Sachin Tendulkar in overseas Test conditions.

De Villiers sparked a debate by stating that Kohli was a stronger batter in bouncy and seam-friendly environments. While acknowledging Tendulkar's pioneering role for subcontinent batters overseas, de Villiers stated that Kohli raised the standard further.

De Villiers' Statement:

" I think of someone like Sachin Tendulkar way back, who started that trend for India. Yet, he wasn't as strong as someone like Virat Kohli, who was even better. But Sachin was the first guy to show that as a subcontinent batter, you can do well in bouncy and seaming conditions. Virat took that forward and raised the bar," de Villiers said.

Responding to the remarks on social media platform X, Ganesh posted: " Pass on the weed, brother."
