France-headquartered shipping giant Ceva Logistics is responding to a cyberattack and data breach that has impacted at least eight warehouses in Europe and compromised customer personal information.

According to industry news site FreightWaves, the incident began on July 29 and has caused shipping delays and data exposure across partner organizations. Ceva confirmed to affected customers on August 1 that a cyber intrusion impacted part of its European contract logistics operations, while maintaining that no other global systems were affected.

Hackers accessed customer details, including names, home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Impacted entities include:

• Valve: Informed Steam hardware buyers on August 7 that data stored during Ceva's 90-day retention window was taken.
• Bol: The Dutch online retailer warned of potential data exposure, order cancellations, and shipping delays.
• De Bijenkorf: The Dutch luxury retailer confirmed order delays after customer data was stolen.
• Additional Impacted Parties: Football club Ajax, banking giant ING, and eyeglass maker Ace & Tate reported affected customer shipping information.

Ceva operates over 1,000 warehouses globally and recorded $18.3 billion in revenue in 2025. The company stated its cybersecurity teams activated security protocols and launched an investigation. Some services have been restored, and authorities in the Netherlands are investigating the breach.
