The protests, organized by the JPSC-JSSC Reform Morcha under the 'Vidhan Sabha Gherao' banner, involved thousands of job aspirants marching toward the Jharkhand assembly. Clashes near the assembly left several agitators and four police officers injured after law enforcement used water cannons, tear gas, and lathi-charges.

In his address, Chief Minister Soren emphasized that the government is committed to eliminating shortcomings in the examination process and making it secure and accountable. Key developments regarding the protest include:
